Now more than ever it is important for national health systems who are planning and deploying vaccination campaigns to be able to keep track of their COVID-19 vaccines. COVID-19 vaccines are currently among the most sought after health commodities in the world, and with extremely limited supply governments cannot afford to waste any. Donors who provide funding for vaccines are also demanding visibility into vaccine stock, to ensure their investments are protected.
To address these needs we created the OpenLMIS COVID-19 Edition– a new, simplified configuration of OpenLMIS that can be quickly deployed for the integrated management of vaccines and other COVID-related supplies.
OpenLMIS COVID Edition is designed to be used at scale, by national governments and large NGOs to incorporate COVID-related supplies into their supply operations. OpenLMIS COVID Edition has all the same features and functionality of OpenLMIS, packaged into a tool that is technically simpler, quicker to deploy, and designed specifically for COVID products. The tool enables supply orders to be placed from warehouses, and tracks the order until it is fulfilled and delivered. It also supports the tracking of consumption to inform future replenishments.
The OpenLMIS COVID Edition is ready to support vaccine rollouts now, and is offering a Free Launch Package to get countries started rapidly.
Our new features enable users to easily track vaccines, PPE, and other COVID-19 products, capturing key data points such as vaccine consumption, stock on hand, and product wastage/expiry. All of this data is packaged into user-friendly graphs and dashboards. Consult our OpenLMIS COVID Edition Overview for detailed information on how OpenLMIS COVID Edition can meet your country-specific needs.
