VillageReach is an NGO that develops solutions to critical health system challenges in low-resource environments, with an emphasis on strengthening the “last mile” of healthcare delivery. Lead a team developing great software to support public health systems in low-income countries that ultimately saves lives. This position will manage software development activities for OpenLMIS, an enterprise application automating supply chain operations in low-income countries. It is an example of open source solutions that improve supply chain operations and enable robust data collection and reporting in the most challenging of environments.

This position directly supervises up to 3 employees and manages relationships with outsourced development partners. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
VillageReach has no private offices, employees work in a shared, open environment with task and conference rooms accessible to employees for privacy and meetings. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
This role requires considerable interaction with colleagues in the GMT +2 time zone. While remote candidates will be considered provided there is time zone overlap during core business hours and good internet connectivity, preference will be given to candidates who can work in one of our country offices (Mozambique, Malawi or DRC).
